Potomac Pony Club Field is located approximately 1.7 miles north of Md RT-28 Darnestown Rd, on MD 117 Bucklodge Rd. in Boyds.
From Frederick and Points West:
Take Rt 85 through Buckeystown, and continue on 85 as it becomes Rt 28. Continue following Rt 28 through the town of Dickerson and Beallsville (there is a traffic light - at Rt 109). You will pass Peachtree Rd, Lewis Orchards, and eventually come to MD 117- Bucklodge Rd on your left - there is no light. Turn left. Follow Bucklodge Road for approximately 1.7 miles, the Potomac Pony Club Field entrance will be on your right, just as you pass Moore Road.
From Points East:
Take Rt-28-Darnestown Rd West - you'll pass Rt 118, Rt 107 to Poolesville, and MD 117-Bucklodge Rd will be on your right. Turn right. . Follow Bucklodge Road for approximately 1.7 miles, the Potomac Pony Club Field entrance will be on your right, just as you pass Moore Road.

GULIDELINES FOR USE OF POTOMAC PONY CLUB FIELD
Potomac Pony Club is honored to have access to the Potomac Pony Club (PPC) field owned by Mike Rubin. The PPC field is located among the beautiful environs of the Agricultural Reserve in Boyds, Md. The land is currently used for PPC and regional riding activities; including lessons, clinics, trail riding, hosting club and regional rally events, and fund-raising horse shows. The Potomac Hunt also uses the parking area on occasion, and leaves out on the hunt from the PPC field. Certain rules and regulations must be complied with to ensure rider safety, protection of field equipment and for insurance reasons.
GENERAL RULES
*PPC field may not be used for financial gain.
*Gates to the show jumping/dressage ring shall remain locked at all times, except during lessons, clinics or fund-raising horse shows or any other PPC Sponsored activities
*Use of PPC field is prohibited if there has been a heavy rain within 24 hours. Please watch for emails or updates on our website regarding condition of the field.
*Avoid taped off or wet areas of the field
*Remove all trash and manure when leaving PPC field
*Keep main gate closed after entering and exiting
*Shed shall remained locked at all times when not in use
*If you should notice any inappropriate use of the PPC field, equipment, shed, or porta potty, please contact one of the Co/DC’s or field maintenance people.
*Cross country course may be closed prior to upcoming cross country schooling, preps, clinics or other PPC sponsored activities. Please watch for the signs, check the website, or check our bulletin board posted by the shed.
RULES FOR PPC MEMBERS
*Open to PPC members for mounted and unmounted pony club activities, ie., lessons, monthly meetings, camps etc., except during wet weather, or if the cross country course is closed for an upcoming event.
*PPC members may ride on their own, at their own risk, anywhere on the grounds, with these exceptions; not in the show jumping/dressage ring and not on the cross country jumps as specified above due to recent rain or preparation for an event
MEMBERS PLEASE:
*check website or bulletin board to make sure field is open.
*please report any damaged equipment to the field coordinator
*Parking should remain on the graveled area, unless the ground is dry
INSURANCE
*USPC medical insurance only applies when a member is participating in a PPC sponsored event ie., lessons, open or club cross country schooling days, clinics, lessons, preps etc. PPC liability insurance also only applies to PPC sponsored events.
GUESTS
*All guests (including participants in our open shows or cross country schooling days) must sign a hold harmless agreement. Guests must sign a hold harmless each time they come to ride at the PPC field.
*Guests must bring a current coggins for each horse they bring to the PPC field
*All guests must be accompanied by a PPC member or sponsor, unless participating in a fund-raising horse show.
*Guests must comply with all other terms and conditions set forth in the document.
