Schedule (Tentative):    Field will open at 7 am.  Rally set-up and parents out by 7:45 am. 

                                    Horse Management briefing at 8:00.

The rally will be run in accordance with the rules and regulations found in the current USPC Dressage Rule book, USPC Annual Dressage Newsletter and the current USPC Horse Management Rule book. Current rulebooks may be downloaded from www.ponyclub.org Look for them under “forms” and don’t forget the addendum's.

Dressage tests :  

Any variation of test for NQ division, must be approved by DC & Rally Organizer when paperwork is submitted.

NQ Division:       D1:         2007 USDF Intro Test A& 2007 USDF Intro Test B

              D2:         2007 USDF Intro Test B & 2007 USA Equestrian Training Level Test 1

              D3:         2007 USA Equestrian Training Level Test 1 & 2 (small 20m x 40m OR large: 20m x 60m arena)

Qualifying

Division**:           C1 & Above:   2007 USA Equestrian Training Level Test 2 & 4, First Level 2 & 4, Second level 2 & 4, Third                            level 1 & 3, Fourth Level 1 & 3.

All Qualifying rides will be in a large arena, all NQ rides will ride in small arena.

 

Food:  TBD

Water:  On the grounds and very handy.

 

Equitation Classes:  (May or may not be held, depending on the # of rally participants and time allowed)  All competitors are automatically entered in an equitation class at their rating level (although participation is voluntary). Competitors may be asked to perform special tests appropriate to their rating level. Judges may ask higher level riders to switch horses, ride without stirrups, or perform schooling figures appropriate to their level.  IF this takes place, it is after all dressage rides are done while scoring is finishing their tallies and calculations.

Complete and Accurate Club entry forms MUST be submitted by September 30, 2007. If you need to overnight your entries or deliver them to my house, please do so.   If you have any questions the week of Sept. 25-30, I will be out of town, please direct them to Marilyn Cross 410-875-3312.

Each entry must include: 

  • Entry form with team name – please make sure every team has a team name.
  • Name, rating, medical release, and Activity/Rally Release (2 pages) for each team member
  • Test selections for each team member, Qualifying or non Qualifying division
  • Musical freestyle test level being performed (optional) 
  • Current Coggins for each pony
  • Check made out to Capital Region Pony Club for all entry fees

Don’t forget to CLEARLY mark musical freestyle cassette tapes or CD’s with the rider’s name.

** Reminder –  C1 & above pony clubbers, you MUST ride qualifying tests to go to Nationals.

Volunteers   I will need the following individuals to run the rally, so please sign up your parents.

8 dressage judge scribes (½ day each) (Most judges prefer one person all day)

4 formals scribes

8 runners (½ day each)

5 volunteers to administer and to score written tests.  

1 volunteers to assist with vet check and safety checks

8 volunteers (½ day each) to do bit checks and to act as dressage stewards at arena gate and warm up

1 announcer

2 parking assistants

Directions: Diamond 7 Ranch and Arena, 36 Deardorff Rd, Dillsburg, PA 17019

From Route 15. In Dillsburg, take Route 74 South. Go through Dillsburg and continue past Northern High School. Take the first left (Route 74 South). Take the 3 rd right on Kralltown Road, then first right onto Barrens Valley Road, then an immediate left onto Deardorff Road. Arena is 2 miles on right.  Go past the arena, make a right onto Faust Road, make a Right into Gate #2.

Alternate (a little shorter, but easier to miss) (it's before Route 74)


Route 15 North, as you near Dillsburg, you will pass a blue Morton type building with a big sign that says ANTIQUES, then you will pass a billboard, SLOW DOWN,  make a RIGHT onto OLD CABIN HOLLOW ROAD, continue to follow the road (bends left), it becomes CABIN HOLLOW ROAD, go across 194 (small town),  slight RIGHT onto Barrens Church Road, Right onto Faust, Gate #2 will be on your left, horse trailer parking on the right.
