Stalls: Each team will be provided with a stall per competitor and one tack stall. Trailers will be used as feed stalls and need to be labeled as such. Feed trailers are subject to HM rules and inspections. Feed trailers will be parked in close proximity to the stable area.
MORVEN REQUIRES A $30.00 DEPOSIT FOR EACH STALL. PLEASE SEND AN INDIVIDUAL CHECK FOR EACH STALL WITH THE CHILD’S NAME IN THE MEMO LINE ACCOMPANYING EACH ENTRY. WE WILL PUT THE STALL NUMBERS IN THE MEMO LINE ONCE THEY ARE ASSIGNED. ONCE STALLED IS STRIPPED, CHECK IS DESTROYED.
Shavings: Available on the grounds @ $6.00 per bale. There is a pre-order form to be completed.
Parent Volunteers: Last year we had some issues with parent volunteers not reporting to their stations. Some of the rings were held up because we didn’t have gate keepers and/or timers. This put a huge strain on the small number of parents from our club. As a reminder, the bylaws of our region state that parent involvement and volunteering is a requirement for the child to be a member of PC. Volunteer lists will be sent out to DC’s for them to contact volunteers reminding them of the time they will be needed and what jobs they will be doing so they can be prepared and know where to go. To make this happen easily, please include the e-mail address/phone of the volunteers for each team. DC’s please discuss this issue with your club, and let parent volunteers know they really are needed to be in their places when needed in order for the rally to run.
On Friday afternoon/evening ALL parents will help to set the courses for Saturday morning, and on Sunday afternoon ALL parents will tear down the courses and load the jumps on the trailers. These are not optional tasks – they are a requirement. We will not be allowing any tack and/or rally supplies to leave the barns before rings are cleared. The CHMJ will then notify parents when the barns will be open. Trailers will not be permitted to leave the parking area until notification is given.
The jump crew for Saturday and Sunday will be broken out into morning and afternoon shifts and evening resetting of courses. In addition to jump crew, we will need parent volunteers for gate stewards, scribes, stop watch timing, scoring, and warm-up area. A schedule will be made, posted and announced. It will be the DC’s responsibility to make sure that their club’s parents are available at the times assigned.
Special Note: We will need a truck w/a ball in the bed to move the jump trailer around, otherwise, we will need volunteer pick-up trucks to move jumps to/from the rings. Please check within your clubs and let us know if you have either of the above.
Spectators: The rally will be held in the Davis Arena at Morven Park. It has natural terraced berms for spectating. There are only a few bleachers, and they are not under cover. Please instruct spectators to bring their own chairs. “Easy-Up” tents will have to be anchored down, in case of wind.
NO DOGS ALLOWED - Please leave your pets home.

Late or incomplete entries: Entries received after June 6 and before June 10 or incomplete entries will be assessed a $25.00 fee.

The first round will be the equitation round. For qualifying competitors only – the third round will be a “Take your own line” course. Non-qualifying competitors will have a simple course posted for the third round. The competition will include a bonus round on the final course only. The bonus round will be run according to the 2007 USEF Rulebook JP145 TABLE II - 3.b. Table II, Sec. 2 (b)—“The first round and first jump-off, if any, are decided by adding together the faults incurred over the course and any penalties for exceeding the Time Allowed. If a competitor has gone clean in the first round, the competitor will, without leaving the ring, upon an audible signal, commence the designated jump-off course. A competitor with a clear round may dismount, and with assistance if necessary, adjust tack and/or equipment; however, upon the audible signal to begin his/her round, the competitor is responsible to adhering to the 45 seconds rule as per JP134.2. A competitor who leaves the arena after a clear round (before or after the tone) will be considered to have retired from the jump-off. If there are no clean rounds and a tie exists for first place, there will be one jump-off in which time will decide in the event of equality of faults. It is recommended that no more than ten numbered obstacles be included in the first round when the class is scored under this table.” Rulebook
Teams may include qualifying and non-qualifying competitors. Teams can consist of 3 – 4 riders. Individuals will be scrambled. Every team must have a coach and a chaperone, who has signed the coaches “guidelines” form or the chaperone form.
