We invite all
parents to attend the Rally. There are plenty of volunteer
opportunities and it is a good chance to experience what a rally is
like. Each team must have chaperone with them for the day.
Therefore, we need at least 7 adults who will stay all day.

Snow Date is Saturday, March 11th
Location: C.W. Shipley Elementary School, Harpers Ferry, WV
Directions: I-70 or I-270 to Frederick. Exit onto Rt. 340 west towards
Harpers Ferry/Charles Town. Continue on Rt. 340 into West Virginia
where it becomes two lanes. You will cross over two bridges (the Potomac River and
the Shenandoah River). Continue on Rt. 340 thru the stoplight at the top of the hill. Continue on Rt. 340 down the hill. You will see a
sign for the school and then the school itself on your right just past the
Bakerton Rd. Exit. Turn right into the school parking lot.
Time. Doors open at 8:00 am. Please arrive by 8:15am. The rally starts
at 9am. You will be disqualified from the Rally if you arrive later
than 9am.
Each division will
participate in a classroom question and answer session, barn session
(trailers will be used outside so make sure you have warm clothes, gloves and
proper foot wear (paddock boots or tall boots). There is a written test
and kids can ask to have the test read to them. Each team will receive
a rotation schedule when they register. The captains will be charged
with getting their team to each rotation on time.
Food - Shenandoah Valley will be selling coffee, donuts, hot dogs, steamers (Sloppy Joes), hot ham sandwiches, nachos with cheese, drinks...etc. to name a few. Clubs are asked not to bring sodas and cookies to share this year. You may bring
a bag lunch if preferred. NOTE: There are no fast food restaurants close by.
